It’s the Bridelux wedding show at London’s Rosewood hotel today – so what can you expect? If you like Vivienne Westwood bridal, expert insights into how they make some of Dior’s best loved scents, Dior makeovers, Laduree macaroons, chocolate tasting, kooky shoes and more, get yourself down there.
We love the style of the Rosewood: it’s beautiful courtyard, Art Deco-esque interior and the fact that it has a ‘director of romance’ rather than a wedding coordinator, so when we attended last night’s press preview we had high expectations. Did it live up to them? Yes indeed. You can do the show in an hour, leaving you free to pop your feet up at home, sip hot chocolate and shortlist your favourites for your wedding or celebration. Here are ours:
The ‘Marry Me, I Do’ clutch (above) by Charlotte Olympia, and her equally fabulous heels (for the ceremony) and flats (for the dancing), seen below.
Then there was Vivienne Westwood Bridal – how can you not love this dress…
Floral canopies are as romantic as they are dramatic – Olivia Rose Liddiard-Hibbert’s Maison de Fleurs creations can be shipped all over the world.
Or how about a bar covered in real grass and flecked with pink blush florals.
If you’re stuck for place setting inspiration, RWS London have styled several different tables to spark your imagination.
This one features hand-calligraphied place tags from Ananya, and written by the lovely Henrietta.
Gift list specialists, Prezola, are also at the show and are showcasing some of the exquisite dining sets available for your wedding guest list, like this one below, by Wedgewood.
Wander into the adjoining suites and you will find Dior (our favourite scents Gris Montaigne and Ambre Nuit), handmade scarves, beautiful beaded flapper-style wedding dresses and plenty of edibles. We love this doughnut selection showcase mounted on a frame by Sugar Box Events.
… and Laduree’s stylish flat-tiered cake.
We’re a bit obsessed with the arrangements by Phillip Corps, a creative genius.
… and oh, those cakes by Victoria Made – every bit of detailing (except the gold leaf) is hand crafted in rich sugar icing.
There are also chocolates for tasting by the Painted Peacock Company (the cocoa crunch was our favourite)
The Bridelux Atelier Show runs on 10th March at the Rosewood London, from 10am-5pm. bridelux.com
