Designed by Alfred Waterhouse and applauded for its Neo-gothic architecture, The Town Hall in Manchester is one of the city’s most iconic buildings; located in the city centre, the overwhelming character and exquisite ceremonial interiors of this Grade I listed building makes it one of the most decadent and romantic wedding venues in Manchester.

Romantic & Opulent Spaces

Licensed for civil ceremonies, The Town Hall Manchester is the epitome of Victorian grandeur and has a suite of state rooms available for intimate and large wedding ceremonies and receptions that can be lovingly adapted to meet your personal tastes and needs:

The Lord Mayor’s Parlour – formerly the Mayor’s personal parlour, this beautiful room exudes magic and mystery and is suitable for wedding ceremonies of up to 100 guests or drinks receptions.

The Conference Hall – all the grace and splendour, all the pageantry and spectacle; yet with its own ante room for calm composure or quiet reflection. Perfect for all ceremonies with up to 130 guests.

The Banqueting Room – sumptuous in every sense, and perfect for wedding breakfast, the Banqueting room will set hearts racing at its grandeur and versatility. It can host up to 90 guests.

The Reception Room – perfect for a drinks reception or ceremony, the impressive but invitingly intimate Reception Room has its own unique allure.

It can host up to 120 guests for a drinks reception or small ceremony; and up to 60 guests for a wedding breakfast.

The Great Hall – as magnificent as it sounds, the Great Hall is full of history and elegance. It is ideal for wedding ceremonies with up to 400 guests, or a wedding breakfast for 220 guests.

Exemplary service that brings your ideas to life

Included in the room hire is a fantastic selection of menu options made from the finest local produce and a dedicated team of event professionals who are there to ensure your special day runs without a hitch.

You can choose from a selection of wedding packages designed to take the hassle out of the planning (starting with the Everlasting package at £4,000) or you can ask the team to work with you to bring your own personal wedding ideas to life.
