A gorgeous five-storey urban hideaway with an Art Nouveau heritage.
Built in 1906, El Palauet balances its rich Art Nouveau heritage with a cleverly modern finish. Step inside this gorgeous five-storey urban hideaway and you’ll discover original ornate ceilings (many of which are listed as historic treasures by the Town Hall of Barcelona) meticulously restored carved-wood doors, stained-glass windows and dramatic staircases.

There are two suites on each floor, and because El Palauet has just six rooms (all generously proportioned two-bedroom suites) you often feel as though you’re the only ones there. Crisp whites set the mood and within each suite you’ll find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living room, and contemporary furnishings with a nod to the Art Nouveau, by an array of award-winning designers ranging from Charles and Ray Eames and Ero Saarinen to Warren Platner and Antonio Citterio.

In-suite state-of-the-art technology includes touch screen controls for mood lighting, temperature and music selection (from El Palauet’s music library), sound level, and automated curtains. High-definition TVs with home cinema and DVD player are found in the suites, with an additional TV in each bedroom.

Bathrooms feature spacious closets and shelving, a rain shower, an automatic toilet-bidet, and a safe. An additional room has a large bathtub and soothing chromotherapy lighting with alternating colours.

Scenic Suites

The Passeig de Gràcia Suites have balconies and face east overlooking the tree-lined boulevard. On the opposite side of the building, the Tibidabo Suites have a small private terrace and face west overlooking the Monastery of Pompeya and, in the distance, the top of Tibidabo Mountain.

Rooftop Terrace & Spa

You can enjoy panoramic views of the city from the landscaped rooftop terrace and gloriously soothing treatments in the private rooftop spa. Spa facilities include a traditional Finnish sauna, outdoor jacuzzi with hydro-massage beds, and a solarium. The bar and al-fresco lounge area are ideal for yoga or simply relaxing.

Your Personal Assistant

A personal, multilingual assistant is assigned to each suite throughout your stay – their insights into the culture, dining and city itself will help you make the most out of your stay, plus they can make all your booking arrangements for you.
