The Proposal
There was no proposal as such, we just decided that it was something we wanted to do and that the time was right. We hadn't discussed exchanging rings so I surprised John with a gold band on his birthday.
The (Actual) Wedding
Colin and John married in Westminster Registry Office on the hottest day of the year, before heading over to St James's Park for some post-wedding pics.
We were married in the Registry Office at Westminster City Hall and we each asked one of our brothers to act as witnesses. Although the wedding party was only four strong we still wanted to mark the occasion in style. Our vegan wedding cake came from Ms. Cupcakein Brixton, flowers were supplied by The Covent Garden Academy of Flowersand photography was by Jennifer Langridge. It was the hottest day of the year and we sweltered a bit in our formal clothing but Jennifer's photos, taken in and around St. James' Park, are a fantastic record of a truly memorable day.
