What happens at a wedding event?

A wedding fair is an event open to the general public, bringing together local and national suppliers of wedding industry-based businesses who showcase their services and products to prospective clients. It is an opportunity for couples to begin their search for wedding services such as catering, planners, flowers or entertainment. These events are often hosted at venues which also host weddings. They present a one-stop shop where couples can find everything they need under one roof.

How long will I spend at a wedding show?

Depending on how much of your wedding you'd like to plan at the show, it could last anywhere from just half an hour to several hours. While some people read information and collect details before going away, others may engage in lengthy discussions with suppliers until they know everything there is to know.

Is there a charge to attend a wedding event?

Wedding expos tend to be free, but sometimes organizers take a small fee from visitors in the form of either food or drink.

They'll have some excellent advice for you, and they may even be able to offer up their services free of charge!

Do I have to pre-register before I attent the wedding fair?

Most wedding fairs require you to register the people who are getting married and the number of guests that will accompany them. This is so that organizers know exactly how many attendees are coming forward. However, there's a separate type of event called an open house which does not require pre-registration and you can attend these freely.
