Our Unique Story

The Lowdown

Mason and Chris chose the incredible Asylum Chapel in Peckham for their wedding – a venue that feels completely different from a traditional church or registry office. With its weathered walls, tall arched windows and beautifully raw atmosphere, it created the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and stylish celebration.

The couple wanted their day to feel personal, welcoming and a little bit unconventional. Instead of over-planning every moment, they focused on bringing their favourite people together in a space that already had character and history.

The result was a wedding that felt effortless and authentic. Guests arrived to the quiet calm of the chapel before the ceremony began, with natural light pouring through the windows and highlighting the unique textures of the building. The setting meant very little decoration was needed - the venue itself did most of the talking.

It was emotional, joyful and full of personality from start to finish.

The Wedding Shot

The photography followed the natural flow of the day rather than interrupting it.

The Asylum Chapel offers incredible light and texture, so most of the photos were taken using the venue’s natural atmosphere as the backdrop.

Mason and Chris were able to spend time with their guests while moments were captured as they unfolded.

A few relaxed portraits around the chapel helped capture the character of the building as well as the energy of the day.

The Reception

After the ceremony, the celebrations continued at The Lord Nelson with drinks, laughter and plenty of conversation between guests who had travelled from different places to be there.

The atmosphere was warm and lively, with people gathering in small groups to share stories and enjoy the moment. It felt less like a formal event and more like a big celebration with friends and family.

Speeches brought a mix of humour and emotion, giving everyone a glimpse into Mason and Chris’s relationship and the journey that led to their wedding day.

The (Actual) Wedding

The ceremony itself was held inside the striking interior of the Asylum Chapel.

As guests took their seats, the space filled with a quiet excitement. The chapel’s historic walls and soft natural light created an incredibly atmospheric setting that felt both intimate and dramatic at the same time.

When Mason and Chris walked in, the emotion in the room was unmistakable. The ceremony was personal, sincere and filled with small moments that made it uniquely theirs.

There were plenty of smiles, a few happy tears and a lot of laughter along the way. By the time they exchanged their vows and were officially married, the room erupted into applause.

Walking back down the aisle together as newlyweds was a moment neither of them will ever forget.

Final Words

Their biggest piece of advice for other couples planning a wedding is simple: focus on what actually matters to you.

It’s easy to get caught up in expectations or feel pressure to follow traditions, but the best weddings are the ones that reflect the couple themselves.

Choosing a venue they loved and keeping the day relaxed meant Mason and Chris were able to enjoy every moment without feeling like they were performing for anyone else. And that’s exactly what made their wedding so memorable.
