What Makes Us Unique
In a nutshell
I’m a truly ethical goldsmith, working from an off-grid studio in The Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. I do make all kinds of jewellery, and specialise in bespoke engagement and wedding rings. The design process is always a joint one between me and my client, yet every piece I make still clearly bears my own unique style.
I also offer couples the chance to come and make their own, or each other’s rings. Why do you want to work with LGBTQ+ couples?
I have never “gendered” my jewellery. All of my pieces are made for anyone that wishes to wear them.
I especially love working with LGBTQ+ couples as they are always full of such fantastic ideas that don’t just follow the stereotypes of what a wedding or engagement ring should look like. What is your creative approach to weddings?
I’m definitely not your typical jeweller/goldsmith (in so many ways!).
I believe that your wedding rings can take whatever form YOU want them to, which may not even be rings at all if that’s what you want. Your wedding rings (or necklace/bangle/brooch) are the one piece of your celebration (apart from each other of course!) that you are going to look at and wear every day for hopefully many many years to come. A beautiful reminder of your love for one another, so whatever form they take, they have to be perfect! What do you love about what you do?
It’s a great privilege and I always feel so humbled when a couple chooses me to create their rings, especially if they’re being made by recycling their old and sentimental jewellery.
What is included in the wedding package?
All of my jewellery is made to last, so the first resize is always free (apart from any postage costs), and you can always bring your jewellery back to me for a clean and checkup for as long as you own it. The beautiful thing about metal, is that it can always be altered, so if you decide you would like to change something in say 5 or 10 years time, then you absolutely can!
Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?
As well as sourcing new “recycled “ gold, platinum or silver, I can also breathe new life into old heirloom jewellery, transforming them into something that you’ll want to cherish and wear every day.
What forms of payment do you take?
Initial consultation- free. Drawings/artwork fee - £30.
Deposit 50% followed by the balance when your rings are ready. Your old gold can also act as part payment, which could mean, you end up, not actually paying anything for your dream rings!Where are we?
