What Makes Us Unique
In a nutshell
You will get the most original, personal and inclusive non-religious ceremony that your people will always remember, including your unique love story told with passion, humour and buckets of love.
Your story will have everyone sucked in and fully present, rooting for you. It will be sprinkled with words that make you blush, ball your eyes out and beam with pride. I can create, suggest and hunt down brilliant bits to sprinkle over your ceremony to make it like no other. I can prep you for your moment in the spotlight. And I can coach your besties for their special contributions. Your guests will have an extraordinary experience. An experience of togetherness, witnessing and celebrating with you. A shared experience.Why do you want to work with LGBTQ+ couples?
I want all couples to be wholeheartedly, transparently and honestly seen, witnessed and celebrated as the persons that they are, in the way that they want.
I have adopted the core values set out by LGBTQ Equality Weddings guide to inclusivity. My main purpose as a humanist celebrant is to be able to give any lovers the commitment ceremony they deserve.What is your creative approach to weddings?
My approach is you. Your ceremony is crafted around your story, your values and your quirks or sensibilities.
I also believe in a shared and inclusive approach that incorporates the people that are most important to you. I will spend whatever time is needed with you to find what makes you tick and sprinkle that into your story and symbolic actions throughout your ceremony. There is no script or template to start with. Just you. That means your ceremony will be one of a kind and its content and structure is a mirror of you and your story. And it will be flavoured with all the things that make you fabulous.What do you love about what you do?
Connection. People. Stories. Joy. Meaning. Fun. The raw witnessing and celebration of real love.
What is included in the wedding package?
Everything - there are no hidden extras or extra costs (except travel costs if you are far away).
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Nope. I only take one wedding per day to give you my full attention and support. I'll be there on the day in lots of time before the ceremony to make sure everything is set up and that I have spoken to anyone (including other suppliers or any of your guests or family that need support). I will stay as long as you need me, but won't crash your party either!
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event.
What forms of payment do you take?
I prefer bank transfer, but am flexible if you need it (e.g. PayPal). I ask for an initial payment of 50% of my fee to secure the date, but there remaining isn't due till a month before the ceremony (before that I would have completed all the preparation, such as meetings, venue visit with you and writing your ceremony). I am always available for a chat about your situation and choosing a feasible payment option for you.

Aaah, we couldn’t praise Gitte highly enough! She’s a warm and wonderful person – the best starting point. She’s also a brilliant, sensitive celebrant.
With Gitte we got a ceremony that reflected us rather than follow convention for the sake of it. Gitte guided us by suggesting different elements that we would never have thought of ourselves, and gave us space to choose and adapt. We went for a “ring warming”, an inclusive ritual infused with the love of all our friends and family present. Ask Gitte if you’re intrigued!
The story Gitte told of us as a couple was joyous but not sentimental, with just the right amount of humour and drama. It was properly entertaining, and very “us”! Although we worked with Gitte on the script there were some lovely surprise elements. The whole ceremony was well structured, so we always felt in safe hands, but at the same time was relaxed and celebratory.
A family member commented that “usually at weddings you’re waiting for the service to end before the fun part begins, but with your wedding the service was part of the fun too.” High praise!
We are hugely grateful to Gitte for creating such a special occasion for us and recommend her wholeheartedly.
