Founded by Daniel McCall, an international auctioneer and his wife Annie McCall, a market trader who sold from a stall in the Castlegate area of Aberdeen.

McCalls Limited was established in 1887 in Upperkirkgate, Aberdeen, initially selling second hand goods, mainly clothing.

McCalls services includes a made to measure tailoring service in Kilts, Jackets and Trews with over 2000 different tartans available. McCalls also have one of the largest selections of Sporrans, Sgian Dubhs and other accessories in Scotland.

Over the last 10 years McCalls Limited have expanded to become one of the largest retailers and Kilt makers in Scotland, McCalls owes it’s success to the application of a simple philosophy of “Good Value for Money & Top Quality Service.”

An increase in patriotic fervour and the desire to have a sense of belonging and affiliation made a good case for supplying Highlandwear.

The McCalls saw an opening to offer their expertise in all Highlandwear products whilst making their availability affordable through Hire, the acceptance was an unqualified success.
