Hello there, my name is Robert. I am a Scottish wedding videographer near Glasgow with a passion for the visual arts. Based in South Lanarkshire and travelling to wedding venues around Scotland, I produce immersive and emotional wedding videos that are as unique as each and every couple I film. I feel privileged to witness and capture the connection between a couple in love and to experience and document the love from their friends and family. Wedding videography is a craft that I treat with respect and use with passion.

I have been producing creative wedding videography in Scotland for over 10 years, and with each passing year, my love for this unique art and industry grows. It is part of who I am. My skill and passion for wedding videography allow me to capture the best day of your life with sensitivity, care, and attention to detail. I pride myself on producing a carefully crafted wedding story that you and your loved ones can immerse yourselves in for the rest of your lives. I love creating visual art through filmmaking. On top of that, weddings are, quite simply, my favorite way of creating visual art. A wedding is one of the happiest days of a couple’s life, it’s filled with love and joy from start to finish. Why wouldn’t I want to be part of that almost every week? Anyway, a bit about how I became a wedding videographer. After Uni in 2001, I started off as a graphic designer and worked at several advertising agencies around the world before settling back in Scotland in 2010 when I set up MacDonald Studio. Since then, I’ve been successfully filming between 30 and 40 weddings a year. That is until you know what happened. In March 2020 I was forced to down tools and become a full-time stay-at-home parent, for my four young children, while my incredible wife (who works on the front line) upped her hours to help fill the income gap. During the easing of the first lockdown, I did a handful of Micro weddings, which surprisingly to me and to my couples, were bloomin’ brilliant. Full of fun and love with their closest friends and family. Now with the easing of the latest restrictions, weddings are cautiously coming back. Hopefully, we stay on this trajectory.
