What Makes Us Unique
In a nutshell
After we have a design confirmed I take precise measurements and make all patterns by hand myself. I'm a perfectionist and have made so many patterns that I use as much instinct as experience in making a unique pattern for each of my brides.
Why do you want to work with LGBTQ+ couples?
Designing and creating bespoke outfits with My Eden is a smooth and creative process for each of our clients. During consultation, you will be guided through multiple fabric and lace choices to make sure they are perfect as well as any trimmings or embellishments that you may desire. The design will also be carefully matched to your chosen occasion or production and any personal requirements considered.
Once we agree on a clear vision together, we take your measurements and draft patterns by hand, ensuring an impeccable fit. These patterns often become the cornerstone of our regular clients wardrobe as they can then be modified for future outfits.What is your creative approach to weddings?
When I meet my brides we take our time to discuss what it is in a dress that my customers love. I listen very carefully to everything my brides tell me and we usually look at a mood board of dresses that have interested my brides. Sometimes the style and details can be quite varied and that is where I can really help the bride to refine the vision and decide. At this point we also choose the perfect silk fabrics and laces for the desired effect and then, the sketches happen! I'll draw out different options until we have defined

I absolutely loved working with Catharina, from start to finish. Not only did she make me the most beautiful wedding dress, but she was a total joy to work with. So calm and reassuring at a time in your life that can be quite stressful. I have to say, I really loved the whole process and feel like I had a really special dress journey. From the very start I knew I wasn’t going to find what I wanted in a traditional bridal shop, nor did I want to pay their ridiculous prices for something I knew would ultimately be a compromise. I felt quite strongly that I knew the shapes and styles that suited my figure and that I wouldn’t quite find that in a pre made dress, so my only option would be to get something made. I felt it was a bit of a gamble but one I knew would pay off if I could find the right person to work with, and Catharina was that person. She’s a true expert – she’s got a fabulous eye and fantastic knowledge of fabrics, trims etc. Right from the get-go I felt she knew the look I was trying to achieve and absolutely nailed it!!!!
