What Makes Us Unique
In a nutshell
My names Pheebs (they/them), I am a queer, Bristol based photographer and filmmaker. I am also an art teacher and work with kids to promote photography and art as a way to create community and help with mental health.
ANYWAY I have been snapping weddings and making films for about 12 years, and LGBTQ+ weddings are more fun and full of love and rebellion, and these are the things I like to capture most in this world (so please hire me to shoot your wedding). My rates are competitive and can be offered on a sliding scale, as I want to support all marginalised communities to get top quality memories too. I like to meet my clients first, so there isn't a stranger turning up with a camera on your big day. We can discuss plans, locations, timings, and any ideas you have for a film or photoshoot you want. In the mean time, send me an email and we can arrange a plan. Why do you want to work with LGBTQ+ couples?
I am part of the LGBTQ+ community, and consider myself an amazing photographer. I want to save my services for the queers.
What is your creative approach to weddings?
Personable, fun, adaptable, easy-going, precise. I like to create a brief with the couple, whether it is a simple 3 minute music-video style film or photography from preparations to first dance. I am adaptable both in terms of what I offer and what this may cost; you might want a photoshoot at some point throughout the day, you might want me to be in the background capturing the behind the scenes moments between friends & family - the winks and the tears and the laughs. I am an artist as well as a filmmaker and photographer, so every shot or every frame is important. I am precise in the way I construct my shots and the way I edit. At the same time, I have fun when I work and make sure to put my clients at ease.
What do you love about what you do?
I love people, I love community, and I love photography and film. I get to combine all these things when I shoot weddings, and queer love and queer marriage is an act of rebellion that deserves to be captured and immortalised with beautiful, high quality images.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
