What Makes Us Unique
In a nutshell
This is not just any ceilidh band - this is a 'rock ceilidh' band! We intersperse well-known rock riffs amongst the traditional ceilidh tunes to make sure your night is truly electric. We give instructions for all our easy dances using fun-filled banter to enable your guests of all ages and abilities to get on the dancefloor.
Why do you want to work with LGBTQ+ couples?
Because we believe in inclusivity in its totality. Diversity, equity and inclusion reflect our personal values and are integral to our day to day lives.
What is your creative approach to weddings?
The music we play brings a different approach to traditional ceilidhs as it has a more 'rock' vibe. Also we believe in top class service and pride ourselves in our pro-active communication with our clients to ensure everything goes as smoothly as it can on the day.
What do you love about what you do?
We love seeing people laughing and enjoying themselves. We use fun-filled banter to give instructions for all our easy dances and we love the interaction with our clients and their guests. In addition, so far, all our reviews have been 5 star, which is something else that we love.
What is included in the wedding package?
Up to four consecutive hours of entertainment. Usually this is 'rock ceilidh' until buffet/half time and then disco. However, we are flexible and can do a full four hour ceilidh on the night if you and your guests are enjoying the ceilidh so much that you would like it to continue.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No - we only have one band.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event.
Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?
We need at least two power points for our sound and light system + 1 square meter floor space per musician
What forms of payment do you take?
We require a deposit of £100 to confirm the booking of the band. The balance is then required 4 weeks before the party. We prefer Bank Transfer.

There is no way I can even start to recommend The Rock Ceilidh Band. Their communication on the lead up to our day was amazing.. so supportive! On the day itself.. Just WOW. Not only did the guests have so many compliments but the staff at the reception said it was the best band they have heard. They got everyone up dancing and they were beyond amazing. Thank you so much for helping make our day so special.
The Rock Ceilidh Band were amazing at our wedding. We had a large mix of people, a lot who had never heard of Ceilidh dancing before. It went down a complete storm, everyone has said how much they loved it. They are also such lovely people too! They helped to make our day extra special!
I was unsure about having ceilidh at the wedding and thought disco would be more popular – but The Rock Ceilidh Band were so amazing, everyone had loads of fun and loved every minute of it!! Mary was so patient and explained the moves to us inexperienced dancers, she really was fab. Could not recommend a better group and loved the rock touches! Such a professional group and really made it an incredible day.
