What Makes Us Unique
In a nutshell
Oh hey there! If you're looking for a really personal, relaxed, and joyful wedding ceremony, you've come to the right place!
I'm Tasha Leung (she/her) and I'm a fully qualified Celebrant and Marriage Officer with the Fulcrum Foundation. I'm so lucky to be doing my job because I absolutely LOVE weddings! I'm dedicated to helping couples make their day extra special - whether they are looking for a really personalised experience, or are queer like myself, or feel they don't necessarily fit the mould! Whether you're having a Wedding, a Vow Affirmation, or a Vow Renewal, I want to be there to help you celebrate! It's a rare occasion when your favourite people are in the same place at the same time - all to celebrate the love between the two of you! I believe it's a time to feel the most yourself, and that's why I offer wedding ceremonies that are completely personal and authentically you. Whether you're a shy guy, want something more pared back, or want to veer right outside of the box, I'll listen carefully to your wants and needs to ensure the tone and feel is just right for you. All the marriage ceremonies I deliver are legal, and I can marry you anywhere you like – live your woodland fantasy, your seaside dream, your fairy-tale in a castle, whatever your heart desires. My ceremonies are not restricted to any one religion, belief or culture - that means as long as you support The Fulcrum belief in Equality, Common Purpose, Tolerance and Compassion, you can choose whether or not you want to add a cultural or religious tradition into your ceremony. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, I travel within a 90 minute radius, which means generally, I also serve Greater Glasgow, Central Scotland, Edinburgh and Lothian, Ayrshire, and the Borders. Why do you want to work with LGBTQ+ couples?
Having been an LGBTQ+ bride myself, I understand the unique challenges faced when planning an LGBTQ+ wedding. I was inspired to become a Wedding Celebrant after me and my wife were married at our own celebrant-led ceremony. We had the flexibility to have our day just as we had imagined, and our guests loved how personal and heartfelt it was.
It is a pleasure for me to be a welcoming and understanding face for LGBTQ+ couples and help them proudly celebrate their love – to be exactly the kind of celebrant I would have loved to have had, who has personally walked down a similar path in life. It's important to me to have a choice of celebrants that reflects the diversity of all the engaged couples out there. It brings me immense joy to provide this wonderful experience to other couples making their own commitment to one another! What is your creative approach to weddings?
I believe that your big day should be totally and utterly reflective of you, and a day to remember for all the right reasons. Planning your day should be an enjoyable experience too, and I understand that every couple is unique.
This is why I offer a bespoke service, which means each wedding ceremony is carefully created and no two are the same. I'll listen to how you and your partner want your day to look and feel like, and you bet I'll pour my heart and soul into writing a meaningful, heartfelt, and fun ceremony! I'll be on hand to give you loads of ideas for symbolic gestures, selecting readings, I'll help you with your vows and can even give you recommendations for wedding suppliers who I love to work with too! We'll have a great time together as I ask all the right questions to get you reminiscing about your journey together as a couple, and I'll catch all those magic moments so I can weave together your beautiful and unique love story! When the day finally arrives, you'll focus on turning up and having thee BEST time of your life! Be prepared for loads of laughs - I'll have some tissues ready too! Your guests will feel involved, not merely spectating - they'll be hanging on every word (and not wondering when the drinks will be served)! What do you love about what you do?
My favourite part about being a celebrant is meeting my couples and hearing all about their journey together. By the time the wedding day comes, it will feel like your friend is conducting your ceremony. It’s an honour and a joy to able to tell a couple's story in the presence of the people who love them the most. Being intertwined in a couple's memories of their special day really is an honour. I also love the look on their faces when the couple sees each other for the first time on their wedding day – it’s priceless! The moment I pronounce them as married is a moment of sheer joy!

2 Reviews on “Tasha the Celebrant - Same-Sex Friendly Celebrants Wedding Supplier in Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom - Gay Wedding Guide”
When we met Tasha, we both knew instantly that she would be the perfect celebrant for our special day. Bubbly, warm and personable, she understood exactly what we wanted from the get go. She truly listened to our journey, and this was reflected on the day. Tasha embodied everything we wanted and stood for in our ceremony, ensuring we were both represented and there was not a dry eye! All our guests complimented the personal style of the ceremony and Tasha, herself, for making it engaging and humorous as she brought our love story to life. She incorporated a moment of memoriam for our loved ones no longer with us, as we lit a candle – this was a truly special moment for us and our families. Tasha checked in on us in the morning, as she had from the moment we asked her to be our celebrant – always with a message of encouragement, an offer of support, and guidance.
Tasha went above and beyond what we could have imagined, delivering a ceremony that we and our guests are still talking about!
We absolutely recommend Tasha to anyone looking for a beautiful bespoke ceremony!
Shay, thank you for taking the time to leave this heartfelt review for me! ? It meant so much to be able to create the ceremony you and Fizz dreamed of – I feel so honoured to have been part of your special day ? and I wish you two nothing but love and many years of happiness together ❤️❤️❤️ here’s to you two! ?✨
From our first meeting with Tasha we knew she was perfect for hosting our day. She was like an instant friend. We chatted away for a couple of hours. Not only did she listen to our story but she gave us loads of hints and tips to creating our perfect day.
Despite not living nearby Tasha set up video calls for us to plan our ceremony. It felt like a friendly chat and instantly we felt at ease and before we knew it we had created a perfect ceremony.
Tasha checked in frequently and also helped with other aspects of our day.
It’s a credit to Tasha that all our guests commented on how it was such a relaxed, beautiful and personalised ceremony. It even got tears from guests who have never cried at a wedding before! Both happy and emotional tears, the balance was perfect!
So much more than just a celebrant!
