In a Nutshell
A former royal residence situated in beautiful National Trust woodlands and surrounded by 190 acres of landscaped gardens, Ashridge House is a castle wedding venue in Hertfordshire complete with turrets, cantilevered staircase, terrace and lawns.
Castle Wedding Venue
More than 730 years old, this impressive Grade I listed castle-style country house was once the home of monks, and became the residence of King Henry VIII’s children following the dissolution of the monasteries. Its interiors are spectacular: the palatial Lady Marian Alford room is decorated in a rich Italianate style, Repton Hall is inspired by the art deco era and is often used to host large wedding breakfasts, and the magnificent staircase which overlooks the Main Hall is often the ceremony space of choice for civil weddings.
ALL SEASONS
Whichever season you choose to marry, Ashridge House offers an idyllic backdrop frosted gardens create a magical winter wedding theme in the colder months, whilst the magnificent gardens lend themselves perfectly for autumn, spring and summer weddings. Ceremonies can be hosted inside or out, and the terrace and lawn make for a perfect location for reception drinks.
