Barwheys is let on an exclusive use basis so you and your guests will have the whole property to yourselves in complete privacy.

Barwheys gives you a blank canvas to allow you to design your own bespoke wedding or have your wedding planner do that for you. Set in an idyllic country location and perfect for either smaller intimate weddings and special events or a grander affair. For larger weddings, a marquee can be erected on the flat lawn – just a few metres from state of the art kitchens where the wedding meal can be prepared. The Granary can be used for dancing or for a private civil ceremony or you can have a sit down meal in here for up to 35 people. Our glamorous honeymoon suite has an oversized super king bed, a pair of velvet chaise longues and a large bathroom with claw footed bath and shower. It is perfect for the bride the night before the wedding or for the bridal couple. There are seven other luxurious en-suite bedrooms to enable another 14 guests to stay.

We only hire Barwheys on an exclusive basis, so you will have the whole property and buildings to yourself.

Barwheys provides the perfect combination of 18th century charm and 21st century luxury. It was totally renovated in 2012 and has four buildings  built around a courtyard – three houses providing beautiful en-suite accommodation and one ancient barn converted into a magnificent games hall, media centre and chill out zone.

Each of the three houses has a dramatic kitchen fitted out with Leibherer fridges, NEFF ovens, hobs, dishwashers and warming drawers. Each of the eight double or twin bedrooms has beautiful en suite facilities with slate and glass finishings and powerful showers. Several stylish sitting rooms with open fires or wood burning stoves provide relaxation away from the main party whilst the galleried dining hall and Granary enable all 16 guests to gather together. All the buildings have sweeping views out over the fields and woods enabling our guests to absorb the peace and tranquillity of the area whilst enjoying long summer evenings on one of the terraces or winter nights in front of an open fire or wood burning stove.

In the event of you cancelling your booking, no deposit will be returned unless we secure an alternative booking for the same dates. Deposits will only be returned if the alternative booking is based on the original price and must not be in conjunction with any special offers or promotions which we run from time to time.

Where a notice of cancellation is received after the balance is due or has been paid, and less than 4 weeks prior to the booking start date, 100% of the total cost will be due/be retained. If we secure an alternative booking for the same period we will return this money to you. Full balance will only be returned if the alternative booking is based on the original price and must not be in conjunction with any special offers or promotions which we run from time to time.

In the unlikely event that we cancel the booking we will give you a full refund or let you book for another stay – whichever you prefer – regardless of the time of year – for the same price.
