Kingswood House, formerly known as King's Coppice, is a Victorian mansion in South Dulwich, listed building Grade II.

After being left empty for several years Kingswood House is reopening as Kingswood Arts, a community Arts Centre and creative hub! Set in a 19th Century castle-like mansion, with 32 stunning rooms - most with original features. Kingswood House combines the charm and character of a grand Victorian building, with the versatility of a modern events venue - offering the benefits of both for your special event. Other than for our Beautiful Weddings , the Venue is also offered for private hire for any event such as Birthday celebrations, engagement parties, christenings, bar mitzvah, quinceaneras, life celebrations and family events. Well this is guaranteed with us since Kingswood Arts is a non-profit company and all profits from our Weddings and private events will be reinvested to the community by offering free music, drama, dance, and visual arts lessons to underprivileged young people of the community, as well as helping to restore this spectacular Victorian Mansion of British heritage to its original glory.

The venue has a fully licensed bar with a great selection of wines and spirits.

I am afraid that we do not offer accommodation but we are happy to recommend local hotels.

CANCELLATIONS:

Any cancellations will pay the contract quotation prices as listed on your contract:

• Less than 12 months – Any amounts/deposits paid will be non-refundable
• Less than 6 months – 50% of the amount on the agreed contract will be owed and agreed to be paid to Trafalgar Tavern within 14 days
• Less than 3 months – the full amount on the agreed contract will be owed and agreed to be paid to Kingswood Arts within 14 days.

Transfer of dates: this is treated as a cancellation and the above applies. However, if we can re-book the date within a month there will be no charge.

The recently renovated Ballrooms all three of them combined, can host parties of up to 150 guests for dinner and up to 300 for a standing reception. Our Ballrooms can also separately be hired out for smaller events.

Jacobean Room: A luxurious dining hall; oak panelled in the traditional manner, with panelled and decorated ceiling and a parquetry floor. Spacious dining hall with large windows overlooking the Mansion's grounds and with direct access to the terrace. The room can comfortably seat 50 guests and accommodate up to 100 for a standing reception. Golden Room: A stunning 18th century style Ballroom, with gold leaf decoration and classical moulded cornice and with its original luxurious renovated flooring can accommodate dinner for up to 70 guests and 100 for a standing reception. It can also be hired for meetings, art exhibitions or dance classes. Adding a small stage makes it suitable for concerts. Great Hall: Our most impressive Ballroom, with 19th century original features still decorating the room, galleried staircase, magnificent proportions, and lofty beamed ceiling, octagonal 'Tea cabin' fitted with window seats all around, gallery and large inglenook fireplace. Social events have been hosted in the room since 1912 such as summer balls, 'Tea Parties' and more. The room can accommodate a standing reception of up to 100 guests. The Venue is also licensed for civil ceremonies that you can have without an additional charge on any of our three ballrooms.
