Located in the heart of Suffolk, Retreat East is perfectly suited for all special occasions. Surrounded by 35 acres of organic countryside & wildflower meadows, our beautifully restored dairy farm provides a quintessentially English setting. Just 90 minutes from London, 60 minutes from Cambridge and 30 minutes from Colchester, Retreat East is the perfect sanctuary for those precious moments. Our collection comprises of a range of outstanding, characterful barns and a 16th-century farmhouse, all of which have been designed with a sustainable rural chic vibe, perfect for hosting you guests overnight so the party can continue.

We’re passionate about creating sensational dishes using the finest locally sourced ingredients – including from our own Kitchen Garden. Our Head Chef Adam Spicer (Masterchef Professional 2019) has created three sensational menus to choose from. All our menus focus on using the best local artisan producers and our team has expertly refined these menus to truly showcase our passion for fresh flavours and organic produce.

Retreat East can be exclusively yours for either one or two nights - our venue has everything you and your guests need for the duration of your visit including accommodation, spa, treatments, delicious food, activities and more. Our venue can only be hired on an exclusive-use basis.

We’ve created a ‘home from home’ experience at Retreat East. With space for you and all your guests, you’ll have all the luxuries of a 5-star resort, with lots of home comforts along the way. With a selection of luxury barns sleeping up to 68 guests, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Packages for one night or two night hire are both available.

With all the space required for your special day, you’ll be able to turn living rooms into pop-up hair salons, makeup stations and changing rooms. The barns will be abuzz with joy and excitement ahead of your special day. Think of it as your own magical kingdom to celebrate your love for one another with your guests.

Our package includes:

• Exclusive hire for one day or two days (from noon on the day of arrival to 11 am on the day of departure)

• Full English Breakfast as well as the continental selection on the day of departure
