St Martin's Priory

Our venue nestles in the heart of Kent and sits within the borders of the World Heritage site of St Martin's Church, which is recognised by UNESCO as the oldest church in England. St Martin's Priory is a historical Grade II listed building bursting with history and Jacobean and Georgian architecture. The Priory provides a versatile location allowing any couple to put their own style and theme to their special day.

Ethical and sustainable catering is of the upmost importance to us. Consequently we have three catering companies for you to choose from, each who we know will prepare elegant, high-quality meals for your special day.

St Martin’s Priory is set within 2.5 acres of enchanted gardens and offers seclusion and privacy near the heart of the city. Guests are able to enjoy a drinks reception on the Tudor Lawn and stroll through the picturesque Rose Gardens. Our venue is a photographers dream and boasts breathtaking views of Canterbury Cathedral from the top lawn and a spectacular water feature for those memory making photos.

Why not stay at our modern and comfortable rooms at Petros Court in the centre of Canterbury for your wedding. We have availability from late June to early September, it is a great opportunity to see the magnificent medieval city, which is only a short walk away.

Prices are from £79 per room and we are happy to offer 10% discount to our wedding guests.

Cancellations 36 - 24 weeks prior to the date, 50% of the estimated total account for the event less VAT;

Cancellations 24 – 4 weeks prior to the date, 75% of the estimated total account for the event less VAT; Cancellations less than 4 weeks prior to the date, 100% of the estimated total account for the event less VAT. Deposits made are to be set against monies due or to become due from a customer in respect of accommodation or functions booked. Deposits are not returnable by the University under any circumstances in the event of cancellation by the customer.
