Set amidst a 1,000 acre private estate overlooking the lakeside castle of the Knights Templar in Co Sligo. We pride ourselves on the flexibility of our approach making this country house such a special venue.

A family home since 1665 makes the atmosphere here so peaceful and special for weddings. Temple House boasts rooms of enormous proportions and grandeur and yet there is a real sense of intimacy here too. The terraced gardens are spectacular, the whole setting breath-taking. We can welcome small intimate gatherings or larger parties. Wedding Capacity: 12-120 seated, (160 seated in two rooms)

Absolutely essential. You don't have to use the 10 rooms, just as many as you need. The fee remains the same though.

You take the house the day before your wedding so that you, your friends and family can settle in, decorate and relax into the special atmosphere here. The venue means the great house, gardens, lake and miles of walks around the estate.

The package includes 2 nights B&B for up to 20 in 10 rooms in the big house. There is also an optional self catering cottage that sleeps 8. more… The bride usually stays in the big house and the groom ‘opts’ for the cottage the night before! It means that she can get ready in style with loads of space for bridesmaids. The photography is fabulous in the big bright bedrooms. Ask about our bedroom called The Half Acre. For those unable to stay on the estate we suggest a shuttle bus. Our preferred option tends to be to the Sligo’s Riverside Hotel or the Glass House Hotel purely for their number of rooms and ease of access. Coach House Hotel in Ballymote is another option. A shuttle works best with fewer destinations.
