The Boathouse

Our Norfolk wedding venue is set on the enchanting Ormesby Broad, The Boathouse offers a magical experience in a tranquil and picturesque setting for your wedding celebration. Your guests can relax on the terrace enjoying the stunning views waiting for you to arrive at the beautiful wedding arbour (by boat if you wish). As you proceed to our beautiful breakfast and celebration rooms, you will be amazed at the mixture of contemporary and classic styles that blend so perfectly together.

When the weather is kind, your wedding ceremony can take place outside in the Wedding Arbour making the most of this truly unique and evocative setting From the decked area, guests can enjoy unspoilt views of the Broad, admiring the wildlife, reed beds and more. You can choose to arrive in the Edwardian style launch ‘Gentleman Jim’ travelling from The Waterside, which makes for a glamorous arrival and a wonderful photo opportunity

Adjoining The Ceremony Room is The Breakfast Room for your seated reception which can comfortably accommodate 120 people seated on round tables with crisp contemporary linens, striking fixtures, fittings and modern furniture. The room offers the perfect space from which guests can head to the dance floor next to their own private bar.

Between the two main rooms you will find the reception & private bar area which is perfect for drinks and canapés or of course guests can head out onto the decked terrace for an alfresco reception.

The Wedding venue is entirely exclusive to you - there will only ever be one wedding on per day!

The Boathouse offers six bedrooms on the first and second floor of the main building which are all individually decorated and styled as boutique boltholes. One room stretches over two floors and has fabulous views of the water. All have contemporary bathrooms and all those extra special touches to make your stay perfect. In the grounds are three woodland lodges, as well as the Wedding Lodge where newlyweds can enjoy their first night of wedded bliss among the beautiful surroundings
