The Courtyard Venue

Set in the well-tended grounds of an ancient and historically important country house, The Courtyard Venue is available to hire throughout the year.

The garden within our courtyard of stone barns has been thoughtfully designed to be at its peak during the summer months with the lavender and roses in full flower, ensuring a beautiful setting for your celebration. In autumn and winter the lime-washed stone walls and atmospheric lighting inside and out create a magical environment. We are fully licensed for civil wedding ceremonies that can be held in our South Barn or, if the weather is fine, under the rose arbour in the courtyard itself. Should you prefer a celebrant to conduct your wedding and work with you to create your perfect ceremony, we’d be delighted to help.

We have a carefully curated list of approved caterers who will work with you (and your budget) to create your perfect menu.

We are passionate about you having a flexible experience with us. Weddings are incredibly special events and we offer exclusive use of The Courtyard Venue with access granted both the day before and after the wedding itself.

The Gate House has been painstakingly restored and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a restful break in comfortable and stylish accommodation. There are woodland and river walks in the grounds, with Offa’s Dyke close by and the mountains of Snowdonia within easy reach if you decide to extend your visit.
