Our wedding breakfast menus are created to capture the essence of the local area. Rainbow trout comes from the River Test, and herbs and vegetables are plucked from the garden and surrounding areas.
Our kitchen operates a zero food waste policy, creating innovative dishes that celebrate every part of these exceptional ingredients. Nose to tail and root to tip menus pay homage to the nurturing hands of our growers and producers and our amazing New Forest larder.


The Montagu Arms Hotel is available for private exclusive hire for your quintessential English wedding. Our beautiful 17th century country house hotel can be your own home from home where memories will be made amongst only your closest friends and loved ones. Our experienced team offer you their undivided attention and undisputed service to ensure that your day is nothing short of unforgettable and the one they talk of for years to come.


In the main house, discover 22 bedrooms rich with traditional English character and considerate touches.

Outside within the grounds of The Montagu Arms are 2 luxury duplex suites housed within an 1820s barn. The Hayloft Suites feature interior design inspired by the British countryside combined with beautiful features such as free standing baths and views of our Gertrude Jekyll-inspired gardens.
Meanwhile, 9 Courtyard retreats and suites seamlessly blend timeless elegance with contemporary elements. Residing around a central courtyard garden, outside and inside flow together to create a harmonious layout connecting the natural surroundings of the outdoors with design inspired by the flora and fauna of the national park.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation by the client, the hotel will undertake to mitigate its losses and to re-let the function room(s) with similar catering arrangements. The client will be responsible for the loss incurred by the hotel in the event that the function rooms remain unoccupied, or are occupied at a lower income level for the hotel, on the date booked. The cancellation charges imposed by the hotel will therefore reflect the actual loss. Any postponement of confirmed and contracted business will be treated as a cancellation.
