Thicket Priory elegant country house is nestled right in the pith of the North Yorkshire countryside, yet only 20 minutes from York.An utterly unique, arriving down the old tree-lined driveway, both the house and gardens are reserved exclusively for your wedding or event, fulfilling your needs under one roof with genuine warmth.You will experience the utmost privacy during your stay, with a stunning banqueting room seating from 70 to 200, a choice of ceremony rooms, including a private chapel and 35 unique and stylish bedrooms.Why do you want to work with us?The wedding venue is truly magnificent, and we would like to show it off and make it available to everyone.The venue is super flexible to same-sex couples, cultural diversity - at the end of the day, Love is Love!They have two suites, not called the Bridal Suite and Groom's room but the Buckingham Suite and Vavasour Suite where everyone is looked after with all luxuries.What is your approach to weddings?Thicket Priory is an exclusive use venue which means you have a beautiful wedding venue to add your signature to.The Priory has thought of every little detail, from two suites to larger cubicles in both the ladies and the gents to fit your dress, to including a transgender toilet.They have ensured that the venue is flexible to all couples and want to start seeing just how versatile the Priory can be.They also have rooms licensed for civil partnerships and weddings: The Ballroom/Morning Room Jefferson Room Band Stand If using the Chapel wedding celebrant is required.

In the unfortunate circumstances that you have to cancel or postpone your confirmed booking, this should be advised to the management of Thicket Priory verbally in the first instance. They do also request that cancellations are also confirmed in writing.

In the event of a cancellation, the following charges will apply:

• cancellation more than 32 weeks' notice - Loss of booking fee
• between 32 and 16 weeks' notice - 25% of the total booking value
• between 16 and 8 weeks' notice - 50% of the total booking value
• between 8 and 4 weeks' notice - 75% of the total booking value
• less than four weeks - 100% of the total booking value

The non-refundable booking fee will be deducted from the cancellation charge total. The amount due will be levied, and payment required, immediately following the cancellation. This excludes bar drinks from the evening function other than those requested in advance by you. More information can be read in their cancellation policy.
