Catering
From 2023 onwards This Must Be The Place and Caravan Made will form an exclusive wedding venue and catering partnership. This felt like the right thing to do as Caravan Made had already become the natural choice of the vast majority of our couples, who were drawn to them by their fresh, modern and seasonal take on gastronomy, along with their understated style and strong ethics.
Furthermore, we wanted to help simplify this part of the process for you, while also seeking to develop the services we can collectively offer you, particularly in terms of pre and post-wedding events and our in-house furniture options. But also, we have worked with Sílvia and Javi from Caravan Made a lot since 2019 and a professional friendship has evolved that makes each event we do together a total pleasure. We are both small family businesses that share the same values and ethics, and when we come together we create a super-team dedicated to the success and excellence of each individual event... so we thought we should just make it our thing!Exclusivity
Our venue is always exclusively hired for the duration of your stay.
Accommodation
The accommodation at This Must Be The Place comprises four large beautifully-designed en-suite rooms which occupy the entire ground floor and lower ground floor of the main house. They can hold up to 12 people and also come with a self-catering breakfast room. For your other guests we have a comprehensive local accommodation brochure.
Cancellation Policy
To reserve your date a deposit must be paid of 40% of the hire cost. This is not refundable. However, we got pretty used to postponing and rescheduling weddings during the pandemic and we always do this in a very human and compassionate way, in full consultation with our couples.

Unforgettable Venue And Incredible Owners!
When my partner and I were looking for a wedding venue, we wanted a certain something we couldn’t quite put our finger on. As we trekked across Barcelona, hoping from venue to venue, we were buzzing at the thought of our big day. Just when we thought things couldn’t get any more exciting, we arrived at This Must Be The Place. Approach from a winding road off the beaten track, everything suddenly came into view and our jaws dropped. The word wedding ‘venue’ simply doesn’t do it justice. The beautiful reclaimed barn with its timeless renovations provide a brilliant mix of old and new.
Walking around the property we were taken aback by the incredible views, the attention to detail (beautiful mirror balls spotted in multiple locations) and the big spaces giving multiple options on layouts. We opted for an outside ceremony and dinner, moving inside the converted barn for dancing afterwards. It made for the perfect transition as the day progressed. Having family stay on site worked perfectly too. Each bedroom has kept its original features whilst bringing a premium look and feel.
Now this is all well and good but there is one thing that truly made it so special…Jo and Duncan. They own, run and live at the property and have poured their hearts and souls into making it what it is today. Their passion, creativity and genuine love for our big day made all the difference. As a same-sex couple, we can sometimes be reserved in opening up, but Jo and Duncan made us completely at ease and even entertained our specialist guest (Drag Queen A’Whora) whilst the guests gathered for our big finale.
We knew straight away that we had to get married here. We left our first viewing saying to ourselves ‘this must be it, this must be the one… This Must Be The Place!
