Nestling in twelve acres of the beautiful Tamar valley on the edge of Dartmoor and down a winding country lane you will find Wonwood Barton a unique 19th century farmstead brimming with charm and character and surrounded by glorious countryside with spectacular views towards Cornwall. Converted from the original buildings our beamed traditional roundhouse, a large pretty colourful courtyard and four eclectic private suites with a south facing lawn and extensive grounds beyond will provide you with a stunning rural setting for a very special and wonderful wedding.

We know that deciding what to serve your guests on this very special day is an important decision and one that is very  hard to make so to make it easier we are proud to offer ....as our caterers at Wonwood Barton who will be delighted to plan and provide an exciting menu for you. Whether you would prefer informal sharing platters, fine dining or even street food (Hog roasts and paellas are very popular and guests love to participate in the cooking) or even the quintessential vintage tea party they will help you all the way to make your wedding breakfast a feast to remember.

We are also very happy for you to cater for yourselves but we are unable to offer a catering kitchen and we do not provide crockery, cutlery and glasses for self-catering. We can help by giving you contact details for hire companies. Guests always seem to get peckish in the evening especially after all that dancing and chatting so you are very welcome to bring your own munchies or our caterers will be happy to oblige. Mini pasties, hot honey baked sausages and bread and cheese make great evening nibbles. We have no corkage charges so please feel free to bring your own drink. Most couples do and it works really well in our bar with guests helping themselves. Please note if you decide this option we do not provide glasses so you will need to hire these or provide your own. We do have a selection of galvanised bins to use as ice baths that will not only keep everything cool but will look good too!  We also have a tall fridge. We can also offer a bar service for either a free or a cash bar. If you decide to go for this option we can have a chat to discuss details and costs.

Wonwood Barton is proud to offer 8 individual rooms providing charming accommodation.

Three of our rooms all with private access into the courtyard are perfect for rolling into bed after all the festivities.  All converted from the old stone farm buildings and retaining all the character but with all the modern comforts. They all offer huge beds one with a four poster probably best suited to the bride and groom.

We can include as little or as much as you are looking for but whilst using at the venue you have use of all rooms and outdoor spaces, all tents (marquee if you choose too), we can provide a full bar and also help you with every part of the wedding.
