Danny and Amos chose a truly iconic venue for their special day: Islington Town Hall. Steeped in history, this remarkable location holds significance as the site of the first gay marriage in the UK, a momentous occasion that resonates deeply with the couple's own journey.

I love this venue, it's one of my favourite town halls and it's just a short walk from my own home, which is a bonus! Nestled in the heart of Islington, this elegant town hall boasts a classical facade that adds a touch of grandeur to the fashionable Upper Street.

For Danny and Amos, Islington holds more than just historical significance; it's been their home for many years. Danny's ties to the community run deep, as he works locally as a hairdresser in the vibrant Camden Passage, a place I've become intimately familiar with through my ongoing documentary projects. Their decision to exchange vows in this familiar setting speaks volumes about their connection to the area and each other.

Their wedding exuded an intimate and heartfelt ambiance, with only the couple and three cherished guests in attendance. Despite its small scale, the ceremony overflowed with warmth and love, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that was truly moving to witness.
