The Proposal

I had planned how I wanted the proposal to go but it did not go quite according to plan. I intended to pop the question when we travelled to Vienna, travelling being something we both enjoy doing together. However my nerves got the better of me and I found myself down on one knee in a multi-storey car park in Nottingham, having just enjoyed a lovely meal, much to his surprise. Obviously he said 'Yes!' and we were both delighted. The Planning
The next step was planning. We both fell in love with the venue, Norwood Park in Southwell and decided we wanted something fairly traditional with a range of flowers, a harpist, a big cake and of course all family and friends present. We had about 60 guests for the ceremony and around 125 in the evening. We had no idea we knew so many people!
The (Actual) Wedding
We lucked out with the weather, especially in January, with no snow and only five minutes of rain!
Our wedding followed a blue and white countryside theme, with a four tier cake that matched. The nerves on the day quickly turned into excitement, happiness and the fondest of memories as we tied the knot surrounded by our loved ones. Everyone enjoyed themselves, which was great for us. It was truly the happiest day of our lives and we would not change a single detail. It was perfect!
